Serenity House is a comprehensive treatment center that provides help to adult men and women for substance abuse and dependence.  We provide services ranging from residential programs to outpatient, intensive outpatient, and DUI services. The following steps are to help you with admission to our various programs:

Men’s Extended Residential Care (ERC) program:

  1. Attend Orientation (an open forum for questions, information, and to schedule an assessment).  Thursdays at 2 pm. 
  2. Complete an assessment ($20 co-payment is required). You will need to bring the required documents:(Current TB test, Physical Exam signed by a doctor, Income verification i.e., letter or pay check stub, and if currently in treament a copy of your bio-psych-social assessment).
  3. Call every Tuesday and Thursday to remain active on the waitlist (630-620-6616 ext.118).
  4. Serenity House will notify you when a bed becomes available and schedule a time for admission.

Women’s Extended Residential Care (ERC) program:

  1. Call and complete a Phone Screen to schedule an assessment (630-620-6616 ext.102)
  2. Complete an assessment ($20 co-payment is required). You will need to bring the required documents:(Current TB test, Physical Exam signed by a doctor, Income verification i.e., letter or pay check stub, and if currently in treament a copy of your bio-psych-social assessment).
  3. Serenity House will notify you when a bed becomes available and schedule a time for admission.

Men/Women Recovery Homes:

  1. Contact Recovery Home Program Manager 630-620-6616 ext.128.
  2. If you are currently in ERC program, complete the  recovery home application and schedule an appointment  to discuss discharge date from the ERC, review recovery home guidelines/locations.
  3. If you are not currently in ERC program, will need to schedule an assessment and bring the following documents: (Current TB test, Physical Exam signed by a doctor, Income verification i.e., letter or pay check stub, and if currently in treament a copy of your bio-psych-social assessment).
  4. You will be contacted when a bed becomes available.

Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient/DUI Services:

  1. Call to speak to a counselor and schedule an appointment for an assessment (630-620-6616 ext.126).
  2. Complete an assessment and be oriented to the program.
  3. If you need to complete requirements for a DUI, please provide a copy of your DUI Alcohol and Drug Uniform Report.
