Dr. Dermer will discuss the pros and cons of utilizing a solution-oriented model with
clients. The basic assumptions, values, and techniques will be presented. The
importance of strongly constructed goals will be emphasized as a compass for therapeutic direction and as a measure of outcome. Finally participants will explore the utility of
integrating solution-oriented techniques with other models.
